We all shudder at the word "cancer"Indeed, it is something we often choose to ignore. Prostate cancer is the most common registerable cancer in Australian men. It mainly occurs in men over 50 years of age but often starts to grow in their 30's and 40's. The latest Cancer Institute of NSW report shows that in 2007, there were 6,665 new cases of prostate cancer detected in NSW, which accounts for 32.2% all all male cancers and 977 men died from prostate cancer.
